Goodness of fit is imperative in the therapeutic relationship.  Initially I will ask what has led you to seek therapeutic service & from then on you will have the opportunity to ask anything about my approach to treatment, experience, expertise,  & availability for services.  

First we begin with a comprehensive Biopsychosocial assessment identifying current / past challenges addressing any safety concerns. We then review and  interpret results of diagnostic information.  I provide psychoeducation on how my findings impact you in real time along with the conceptual model of treatment. We then collaborate to develop treatment plan upon building of rapport. 

Therapy may be sought out when one is  feeling overwhelmed by situations such as failure or experiences of grief / loss, relationship difficulties,  trauma , life transitions,  or sickness which  negatively impact social or occupational functioning. Therapy offers an unbiased perspective which friends or family may struggle to offer.
